It’s big shirt season, y’all!
Temps go up and suddenly I want to wear a big ol’ loose ol’ poplin shirt. In the summer, there’s nothing so nice as wearing an outfit where nothing really touches your skin.
It’s got me thinking about summer ease. I’m looking for ways I can invite more of it into my days — like wearing clothes that aren’t restricting or carving out little moments for myself.
Lately, I’ve started grabbing a sparkling water and heading outside to sit on the porch steps for a little bit in the evenings. I’m currently on a Limoncello La Croix kick. I think it tastes like wedding cake, but no one else in my friend group agrees — someone back me up here.
Just this week, as I’ve been sitting on the porch, I’ve started to hear the cicadas again. First time this summer! That buzzy sound is so familiar to me — but also, it only happens *this* time of year. Nature’s always shifting, and so are we. It feels significant to pause and pay attention to the things that make right now, right now.
Anyway, it’s such a nice time outside, drink in hand. Until the mosquitos set in, but let me have my moment, lol.
What have you noticed lately that makes right now feel like right now?

P.S. If you’re here for the outfit, you can find the links below, as always.
P.P.S. Did you catch Friday’s post? It’s a good one — full of capsule wardrobe thoughts and all about how I accidentally made my most useful capsule yet.
P.P.P.S A mosquito rack does help, by the way.
